Today, your Beijing city tour begins with a walking tour in the world's vasted public square - Tiananmen Square. Next, explore the Forbidden City, where is home to the emperors of the Ming and Qing dynasties. Lastly, visit the exquisite Summer Palace.

Day3 Beijing/Chengdu

Activities for today: Badaling Great Wall, Beijing Hutong, Drum Tower
After breakfast, make an excursion to the Great Wall (Badaling segment), one of the most amazing feats of mankind. Walk atop the ancient ramparts, admiring the view of the Wall serpenting across the mountains. Afternoon return the city and visit Beijing's historic Hutong area by old-fashioned pedicab. Climb up the Drum Tower and see a traditional drum performance. Visit a local family living in a courtyard-style home known as a Siheyuan. Take evening flight to Chengdu. Upon arrival, you are picked up to your hotel.

Day4 Chengdu/Leshan/Chengdu

Activities for today: Leshan Giant Buddha, Huanglongxi Ancient Town
This morning, drive about 2 hours to Leshan to admire the famous Giant Buddha. In the afternoon, return to Chengdu. En route, we will make a stop-over at Huanglongxi Ancient Town to experience the local histroy and culture.

Day5 Chengdu

Activities for today: Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding, People's Park, Jinli Old Street.
Arise early for an unforgettable experience at Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding. This base is not only the most important panda scientific research center in the world, but also the home for over 100 giant pandas. You will walk at leisure through the bamboo-framed paths and closely observe giant pandas of different ages eating bamboos, playing with each other, tumbling, and climbing trees. Be sure to not miss the chance to watch female pandas nursing their cubs in the nursery rooms! There is also a very informative Panda Museum where you can learn more scientific facts about giant pandas.
In the afternoon, return to the city to enjoy your time in People's Park. You can sit down in a teahuse to experience Chengdu's typical "teahouse" culture or find some interesting spots in the park.
Enjoy a short orientation walk in Jinli Old Street before an optional Hot Pot dinner.
N.B.
1) We suggest starting your tour at 07:00 from your hotel because the pandas are active at 08:00 - 10:00. They are playing and eating breakfast in their houses and gardens. If you go there so late, the pandas will asleep.
2) Holding a panda in Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding will cost RMB 1800 for 15 seconds. This is an optional activity for visitors.
3) Hot Pot of Chengdu is well known in China, hot and spicy, No matter in winter nor in hot summer are the hot pot restaurants full of locals. People believe eating around the round pot means friendship and uniting. At dinner we will take you to a special hot pot restaurant. This is an optional activity for visitors.

Day6 Chengdu

Activities for today: Airport transfer (Chengdu)
There are no activities planned for today and you are free to depart at any time. Check out time from the hotel is at 12:00 noon. If you are departing later, you can arrange luggage storage at the hotel. A departure airport transfer is included to Chengdu Shuangliu International Airport.
