Day2 Chengdu
Activities for today: Sanxingdui Museum, Wide and Narrow Lanes, Face-Changing Show
Tour Guide & Driver Service:
At 8:30 am, our expert guide will greet you in the lobby of your hotel. From there, you’ll set off on a captivating cultural adventure.
First stop: Sanxingdui Museum — one of China’s most mysterious and astonishing archaeological discoveries. You'll come face-to-face with ancient bronze masks, towering sacred trees, and golden scepter relics that date back over 3,000 years. Walk through the “lost civilization” of the ancient Shu kingdom, and let your imagination travel back in time.
Next, experience the soul of old Chengdu at Wide and Narrow Lanes (Kuanzhai Xiangzi). A delightful mix of Qing-era architecture and trendy boutiques, this area is perfect for a slow, scenic stroll. Feel the vibrant local culture — from traditional teahouses and street-side snacks to quirky souvenir shops and quiet courtyards hidden behind old stone walls.
As evening falls, get ready for a spectacular highlight: the legendary Face-Changing (Bian Lian) show. Performed in a famous local theater, this dazzling Sichuan opera art form will leave you breathless. Watch as performers change colorful masks in the blink of an eye — a mesmerizing blend of drama, music, and mystery that you’ll remember long after the curtain falls.

Day3 Chengdu
Activities for today: Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding, Du Fu Thatched Cottage, Jinli Ancient Street
Tour Guide & Driver Service:
7:30 AM – A magical morning awaits. We'll head straight to the Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding — the best place in the world to see China's beloved national treasure, the giant panda.
As the mist lifts over the bamboo forests, you'll watch these gentle black-and-white icons roll, play, munch on fresh bamboo, and maybe even nap in the most adorable poses. Keep your camera ready for fluffy cubs tumbling around the nursery. It's a heartwarming, once-in-a-lifetime encounter with nature's most lovable ambassadors (including the park bus).
Next, step into poetry at the Du Fu Thatched Cottage. This serene, leafy sanctuary was once home to Du Fu, one of China's greatest poets. Wander along quiet stone paths, cross tiny bridges over koi-filled ponds, and peek into the recreated bamboo cottage where he wrote some of his most famous verses. You don't need to know poetry to feel the peace — it lives in every breeze and shadow here.
Finally, lose yourself in the charm of Jinli Ancient Street. As the afternoon light softens, Jinli comes alive with the sights, sounds, and smells of old Chengdu. This restored Qin-era street glows with red lanterns and traditional wooden architecture. Sample local snacks like spicy wontons, sweet sesame dumplings, and savory bo bo chicken. Watch folk artists craft sugar figures, paper cutouts, and Sichuan masks. Or simply sit down in a traditional teahouse, sip jasmine tea, and watch the world go by.

Day4 Chengdu/Leshan/Emeishan
Activities for today: Leshan Giant Buddha
9:00 AM – set off for Leshan. Your journey begins with a scenic drive toward one of China's most breathtaking ancient wonders.
Arrive at the Leshan Giant Buddha – a UNESCO World Heritage Site (inscribed on December 6, 1996). This remarkable site is jointly recognized as a World Cultural and Natural Heritage, comprising two extraordinary landmarks: Mount Emei, which towers at 3,099 meters above sea level, and the Leshan Giant Buddha, standing an awe-inspiring 71 meters tall — the largest stone-carved Buddha in the world.
On this tour, you will visit the Giant Buddha by walking up and down the mountain paths (including park bus ride out of the scenic area). This is the perfect way to appreciate the sheer scale of the statue up close. As you ascend, you'll catch glimpses of the Buddha's serene face peeking through ancient trees. When you finally stand beside its massive carved feet — each one large enough to hold a dozen people — you'll truly feel the power and devotion of the Tang Dynasty craftsmen who took over 90 years to complete this masterpiece.
Note: If you prefer an alternative experience, you may choose to take a river cruise to view the Buddha from the water. In that case, the entrance fee will be reduced by 25 RMB per person.
After marveling at the Giant Buddha, you will continue your journey to the sacred area of Mount Emei, where you will check into your hotel and prepare for more discoveries in China's most celebrated Buddhist mountain.

Day5 Emeishan/Chengdu
Activities for today: Mount Emei
Tour Guide & Driver Service:
After breakfast, your adventure begins as we drive toward one of China's most sacred and stunning mountains — Mount Emei, a UNESCO World Cultural and Natural Heritage Site, renowned for its breathtaking landscapes, ancient Buddhist traditions, and rich biodiversity.
Ascend to the Golden Summit (Jin Ding) – the heart of Mount Emei.
Thanks to the included sightseeing bus and Golden Summit cable car, you'll glide effortlessly up through misty forests and cloud-kissed cliffs. At 3,099 meters above sea level, the summit rewards you with panoramic views that stretch endlessly across rolling peaks and deep valleys. Here, you'll witness the legendary Golden Statue of Samantabhadra (Puxian Bodhisattva) , shining brilliantly against the sky. If you're lucky, you may even experience one of Emei's "Four Wonders" — the surreal Sea of Clouds, the magical Buddhist Halo, the breathtaking Sunrise, or the awe-inspiring Sacred Lamps (mysterious floating lights said to appear at night).
Descend to the mid-level – visit the timeless Wannian Temple (Temple of Ten Thousand Years).
With the included Wannian Temple uphill cable car, you'll effortlessly reach one of Mount Emei's oldest and most revered temples. Built during the Eastern Jin Dynasty, Wannian Temple houses the magnificent Bronze Statue of Puxian Bodhisattva mounted on a six-tusked elephant — a masterpiece of ancient Chinese casting art. Surrounded by ancient pines, curling incense smoke, and the soft echo of monks' chanting, you'll feel centuries of peaceful devotion seep into your soul.
Throughout the journey, Mount Emei reveals its wild heart.
As a UNESCO Natural Heritage site, the mountain is home to over 3,000 species of plants and countless animals — including the famously playful (and occasionally mischievous) Tibetan macaques. Keep your eyes open and your camera ready — you never know who might swing by to say hello.
