Day1 Chengdu
Activities for today: Airport/train station pick-up, Kuanzhai Alley
Tour Guide & Driver Service:
Upon your arrival at the airport or the railway station, your private guide and driver will greet you with a warm "Welcome to Chengdu."
If time and energy permit, we will dive straight into the local rhythm with a visit to Kuanzhai Alley (Wide & Narrow Alleys). Dating back to the Qing Dynasty, this preserved neighborhood is a living museum of old Chengdu. Wander through the Wide Alley to admire the grand mansions of former generals, then slip into the Narrow Alley where teahouses, folk art stalls, and sizzling street food create a scene straight out of a novel. Sip a cup of traditional gaiwan tea as locals play mahjong nearby — your first taste of Chengdu’s famously laid-back lifestyle.

Day2 Chengdu
Activities for today: Du Fu’s Thatched Cottage, Wuhou Shrine, Jinli Ancient Street
Tour Guide & Driver Service:
Our personal local guide will meet you at your hotel at 9:00 AM to begin a journey through China’s literary and military history.
Du Fu’s Thatched Cottage
Step into the quiet sanctuary of Du Fu, China’s greatest poet. This serene park of bamboo groves, winding streams, and reconstructed thatched cottages is where he wrote over 240 poems during a turbulent period of his life. Walk the same paths where he once found peace — you can almost hear his verses carried by the wind.
Wuhou Shrine
Dedicated to the legendary strategist Zhuge Liang and the heroic era of the Three Kingdoms, this is China’s most famous museum of its kind. Stand before the statues of ancient warriors and feel the loyalty and cunning that shaped a nation. The red walls and ancient cypress trees make it one of Chengdu’s most atmospheric sites.
Jinli Ancient Street
Right next to Wuhou Shrine, Jinli is a vibrant time capsule of Shu culture. By late afternoon, the street comes alive with hanging red lanterns, puppet shows, and the irresistible aroma of mapo tofu and sichuan hot pot. Grab a skewer of spicy rabbit or try sanjianbing (a local pancake) as street musicians play traditional strings. It’s a feast for all senses.

Day3 Chengdu/Dujiangyan
Activities for today: Dujiangyan Irrigation System, Selfie Panda, Guanxian Ancient Town, “Blue Tears” Night View
Tour Guide & Driver Service:
After breakfast, drive 1.5 hours through the lush Sichuan countryside to the UNESCO World Heritage site of Dujiangyan — an ancient irrigation system that has been taming the Minjiang River for over 2,200 years.
QinYanLou Pavilion to the Core Engineering
Enter through the Qinyanlou entrance to gain a panoramic bird’s-eye view. Then, descend to explore the legendary Fish Mouth Levee (Yuzui), which cleverly splits the river into inner and outer streams; the Flying Sand Weir (Feishayan) , which acts as a natural spillway; and the Bottle-Neck Channel (Baopingkou) , a narrow canyon that controls flow into the Chengdu Plain. Your guide will explain how this masterpiece — designed without a single dam — still works today. It’s engineering that feels like magic.
Selfie with the Giant Panda at Yangtianwo Plaza
A playful break! Visit Yangtianwo Plaza to see the famous Selfie Panda — a massive, lounging panda sculpture holding a phone. It’s the most Instagram-worthy stop of your trip.
Guanxian Ancient Town & “Blue Tears” Night View
Stroll through Guanxian Ancient Town, where ancient city walls meet artisan shops and tea houses. As night falls, walk onto the historic South Bridge (Nanqiao) to witness the legendary “Blue Tears” — the river below glows in an ethereal turquoise blue under the lights, as if the water itself is weeping moonlight.

Day4 Dujiangyan/Chengdu
Activities for today: China Giant Panda Garden, Mount Qingcheng
Tour Guide & Driver Service:
Today, we will meet China’s national treasures, then ascend to the realm of immortals.
China Giant Panda Garden
Skip the crowded city research base. This morning, you’ll visit the China Giant Panda Garden — a more tranquil and spacious sanctuary where pandas roam in naturalistic hillsides. Watch giant pandas munch bamboo with childlike delight, see playful red pandas (they’re more like raccoons!), and learn about conservation efforts. You’ll likely see babies in spring — a heart-melting sight.
Mount Qingcheng (Front Mountain) – Birthplace of Taoism
After lunch, drive to Mount Qingcheng, the sacred birthplace of Taoism and a UNESCO site. You’ll explore the Front Mountain, known for its ancient temples hidden in dense, misty forests.
• Tianshi Cave (Heavenly Master’s Grotto) : The holiest spot on the mountain, where the founder of Taoism once cultivated his spiritual powers.
• Natural Pictures (Tianran Tuhua) : A breathtaking viewpoint where moss-covered cliffs and twisted pines frame a view so perfect it looks like a classical Chinese ink painting.
The path winds through bamboo groves, over ancient stone bridges, and past Taoist hermits’ retreats. The air here feels different — cleaner, quieter. It’s a spiritual recharge.
