  • Day2 Chengdu/Lixian

    Activities for today: Bipenggou Vallely

    After breakfast, we'll drive 3 hours to Bipenggou, a scenic valley in Lixian County and a habitat for giant pandas. The area boasts fossil glaciers, alpine meadows, plateau lakes, virgin forests, and waterfalls—with alpine roses blooming in spring and colorful leaves in autumn.

    Inside the park, a tourist bus takes you to the trailhead, where you can continue by foot or golf cart up to 4,000 meters. The gentle, gradual trails make for easy walking, and the end of the track opens up to even more exploration. Later, we'll return to your hotel in Gu'ergou, where an optional hot spring bath awaits.

  • Day3 Lixian/Danba

    Activities for today: Zhuokeji Official Chieftain Village, Jiaju Tibetan Village

    This morning, we will drive along river valley and forests to the backland of Jiarong Tibetans. Jiarong Tibetans (Gyalrong Tibetans) are one of the branches of the ethnic Tibetans in Kham. We will visit a Tibetan chieftain's mansion - Zhuokeji Official Chieftain Village. This mansion was initially built in 1718. Maozedong and CCP's central organs once stationed one week in the mansion during the Long March.The mansion is also the birthplace of the Tibetan writer Alai's novel: Red Poppies, whose theme is based on the Tibetan custom and traditions.It won the Mao Dun Literature Prize in 2000.

    You will not feel tired on your journey this afternoon. As we drive south along Jinchuan River, ancient watchtowers and Tibetan villages come into sight frequently. We will stop at Jiaju Tibetan Village for one night. This Jiarong Tibetan village was rated as "the Most Beautiful Village in China" by Chinese National Geographic in 2005. Standing at the sightseeing stands, you will see the blockhouses built in the mountains from the river bank to the peak. Most importantly, you can experience the different and interesting Jiarong Tibetan culture in the most relaxing way.

  • Day4 Danba/Tagong/Xinduqiao

    Activities for today: picnic, horse riding, Tagong Lamasery

    After breakfast, we'll follow the Yak River Valley up to a highland viewpoint of Yala Snow Mountain (weather permitting). A quick stop at Bamei market supplies our picnic provisions. In Tagong, we'll picnic on the grassland, enjoy horse riding, and visit Tagong Lamasery. Later, we'll drive to Xinduqiao—a true paradise for photographers.

  • Day5 Xinduqiao/Chengdu

    Activities for today: Luding Bridge

    After breakfast at your hotel, we'll drive to Kangding via the scenic Zheduo Mountain Pass, which sits at an elevation of 4,298 meters. Following lunch, we'll continue to the historic Luding Bridge. Built during the Qing Dynasty (1644–1912), this iconic bridge once served as a vital crossing on the ancient road between Sichuan and Tibet. It is also renowned as the site of the Battle of Luding Bridge, a pivotal event during the Long March. After exploring the bridge and its surroundings, we'll drive back to Chengdu.

Private Transfers:
Between airports / railway station, hotels and scenic spots while sightseeing in the cities specified in the itinerary by the private air conditioned vehicle with driver and English-speaking guide. Separate arrivals and departures will incur extra charges.

All entrance fees to scenic spots as listed above in the itinerary. The final arrangement will be determined by local tour guides based on the local circumstances which are beyond the control of LocalChengduTours. ZTG will adhere to the original itinerary as accurately as possible.
Meals:
All meals as specified in the itinerary. “B” stands for western breakfast “L” for Chinese Lunch in local Chinese restaurant. “D” for Chinese dinner in local Chinese restaurant. The quotation is basic on the above normal meals. If you have any special request about meals, like vegetarian, or Indian food etc, please inform us in advance.

Normal sightseeing activities as outlined in the Itinerary will be escorted with English-speaking guide.
The English-speaking guide and driver of each city accompany you throughout the entire tour in that city. They do not fly with you from one city to another.
Accommodation (if include Yangtze Cruiser):
Service based on two adults sharing on one standard twin/double-bed room (cabin); solo travelers or those who want to occupy one twin/double-bed room/cabin of their own are required to pay additional charge of single supplement rate. A single room (cabin) is subject to availability based on prior request at an additional cost; if the recommended hotel is not available, it will be substituted by a similar class one.
All hotels as listed in the above itinerary serve daily western or Chinese breakfast. All rooms are air-conditioned with private facilities unless specified.
